What is ASD?

ASD, short for Autism Spectrum Disorder, is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by significant and persistent deficits in social communication and interaction skills and restricted, repetitive patterns of behaviors, interests, or activities. It is defined as a spectrum disorder since there are a number of various symptoms, characteristics, and degrees in ASD.
